Chelsea are reportedly making significant progress in their pursuit of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, with personal terms provisionally agreed ahead of a potential January transfer! 👀🔵
According to recent reports, Chelsea have maintained their interest in the England international after identifying him as a priority target to strengthen their midfield. The Blues are determined to reinforce the squad, and Scott has emerged as one of their preferred options as they look to build a stronger team under Xabi Alonso. 💣🔥
💙 WHY DOES XABI ALONSO WANT ALEX SCOTT?
The 23-year-old midfielder has attracted attention with his technical ability, composure on the ball, work rate and versatility. He could provide Chelsea with another option in central midfield, helping the team control possession, progress the ball and compete against some of the Premier League’s strongest sides.
Alonso is reportedly keen on bringing Scott to Stamford Bridge, and discussions involving the player and Chelsea have been reported. However, agreeing personal terms does not mean the transfer is complete. Bournemouth must still agree to a fee before a deal can happen.
💰 BOURNEMOUTH’S £100 MILLION DEMAND! 😳
The biggest obstacle could be the transfer fee. Bournemouth are reportedly valuing Scott at around £100 million, although other reports suggest that an offer exceeding £80 million, including add-ons, could be enough to make the club consider a sale.
Chelsea will therefore need to negotiate carefully if they want to secure his signature when the January transfer window opens.
⚔️ CHELSEA MUST ALSO WATCH OUT FOR LIVERPOOL!
Liverpool have also been linked with the midfielder, meaning Chelsea could face competition for his signature. Nevertheless, reports suggest the Blues are well positioned in the race after previously making approaches for the Bournemouth star.
If Chelsea manage to complete this deal, Scott could become an important addition to Alonso’s midfield as the club continues to reshape its squad.
Nothing has been officially confirmed by either club, but the reported progress will undoubtedly excite Chelsea supporters ahead of January! 💙🔥
