Barcelona midfielder Rodri Hernández is already making his influence felt inside the dressing room, and this time, his mission has nothing to do with football tactics! 🔵🔴
The Spanish midfielder has revealed that he is trying to convince some of his younger Barcelona teammates to spend less time playing video games and dedicate more time to reading, learning and activities that stimulate their minds.
According to Rodri, he believes footballers should develop their intelligence and curiosity beyond what happens on the pitch. Being a top footballer is not just about having excellent technique, speed and physical strength. Mental development is equally important! 👏🧠
But here’s where things get interesting! 😂
Rodri revealed that he sometimes gives his teammates interesting questions to think about before matches. Instead of allowing them to concentrate entirely on football or spend all their free time gaming, he challenges them to explore different subjects and exercise their brains.
And this is not just empty talk. Rodri is known for his intellectual interests and has a degree in Business Administration. He also prefers maintaining a life away from the constant noise of social media.
His influence could be particularly valuable in Barcelona’s dressing room, which is filled with exciting young talents like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Pau Cubarsí and other youngsters who are still developing their careers.
Interestingly, Rodri isn’t demanding that everyone completely abandon video games. He simply wants his teammates to find a healthy balance between entertainment, education and personal development.
He even admitted that keeping footballers away from video games is not an easy task because gaming has become such a popular part of modern dressing-room culture. 🤣🎮
With Hansi Flick building a competitive Barcelona squad, having experienced personalities like Rodri who can guide younger players off the pitch could prove just as valuable as their contributions during matches.
RODRI IS NOT JUST INTERESTED IN MAKING BETTER FOOTBALLERS. HE WANTS TO HELP BUILD BETTER THINKERS! 🔥👏
But be honest, Culers… Can Rodri really convince Lamine Yamal and the other youngsters to put down their PlayStation controllers? Because that mission might be harder than winning the Champions League! 😭😂
