Manchester United are experiencing a nightmare season, and things are going from bad to WORSE! 😭🔴
For the first time in 40 years, the Red Devils started a league match inside the relegation zone, sitting in 19TH POSITION before welcoming Aston Villa to the Theatre of Dreams. What an unbelievable situation for a club of United’s size! 🤯
But if United supporters thought things couldn’t get any worse, Aston Villa had a different plan!
Unai Emery’s men came flying out of the blocks, and it took them just TWO MINUTES to break the deadlock. Alysson stunned Old Trafford with the opening goal after exploiting United’s defensive weakness.
Before the home supporters could even recover, Nicolas Jackson struck again in the FOURTH MINUTE to make it 2-0! 😭💀
Villa had completely blown Manchester United away in just three minutes and 42 seconds, setting a new unwanted record for the earliest United had ever gone 2-0 down in a Premier League match!
And the atmosphere inside Old Trafford? ABSOLUTE CHAOS! 😳
United supporters were already unhappy with the club’s ownership and performances, and the early goals only made their frustration louder. Chants demanding change echoed around the stadium.
Michael Carrick suddenly found himself under enormous pressure, with serious questions being asked about his team’s defending, mentality and consistency.
The most embarrassing part? Manchester United entered this match with just one Premier League victory all season!
From being one of the most feared teams in English football to fighting to escape the relegation zone, this is a shocking decline that nobody would have imagined. 😭
IS MANCHESTER UNITED REALLY IN A RELEGATION BATTLE, OR CAN CARRICK TURN THIS DISASTER AROUND? 👀🔥
