Liverpool are reportedly very interested in signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has been in excellent form, scoring 19 goals for the Magpies this season, and is valued at over £100 million.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot believes Isak would be a perfect fit for the team, especially as they may lose Mohamed Salah when his contract expires in the summer.

Isak, who has proven himself as one of the top strikers in the league, could be enticed by the opportunity to join a club competing for league titles and Champions League success.

However, the big question is whether Liverpool will be willing to pay a record fee for the striker. Reports suggest they could sell players like Darwin Núñez to raise funds, as he hasn’t been as consistent in front of goal.

Isak, who can play across the front line, would provide the consistent goal-scoring ability Liverpool needs.

With the team competing for both the league title and the Champions League, as well as making it to the English League Cup final, Liverpool’s success this season could help them attract top-tier talent like Isak.
