Liverpool, poised to claim the Premier League title, are reportedly preparing a £95million double swoop on Bournemouth as Arne Slot sets his sights on strengthening the squad ahead of a busy summer.
According to reports, Slot’s transfer priorities include signing a new left-back, centre-back, right-back, striker, and attacking midfielder as he looks to build on the team’s imminent title success. Despite a quiet first window, in which Slot only brought in Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili (with Chiesa barely featuring and Mamardashvili staying on loan at Valencia), the Dutchman has guided Liverpool to the top of the league.
This summer, Liverpool are expected to be much more active. The Reds are strongly linked with Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, one of Slot’s top targets, and centre-back Dean Huijsen, whose £50m release clause can reportedly be paid in three instalments.
Liverpool are said to be serious about a £95m move for both players, according to the *Daily Mail*, amid competition from clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal. Kerkez’s valuation is believed to be around £45m, as Liverpool seek to strengthen at left-back given Andy Robertson’s age (31) and declining form.
Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite is considered an alternative to Huijsen, although a move across Merseyside would be complicated.
Additionally, Liverpool are expected to target a new striker and midfielder, especially with Darwin Nunez’s future at the club uncertain. Meanwhile, Bournemouth are reportedly interested in Liverpool players Caoimhin Kelleher, Harvey Elliott, and Ben Doak, with Kelleher expected to depart once Mamardashvili officially arrives.
