Trent Alexander-Arnold’s brother stirred up a storm among Liverpool fans with a striking Instagram post that quickly went viral.
The Liverpool right-back played a crucial part in Arne Slot’s squad as they clinched the league title with an emphatic 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, April 27.
Following the win, Liverpool supporters erupted in speculation after Trent’s brother, Marcell Alexander-Arnold, shared a cryptic social media post.
The 26-year-old defender featured prominently in the dominant victory at Anfield, a result that secured Liverpool their 20th English top-flight title—matching Manchester United’s record. He also played an important role in the 1-0 win against Leicester City on April 20. Despite ongoing rumors linking him with a move to Real Madrid, Trent was central to the title celebrations, although he declined media interviews.
On April 28, Trent marked the occasion by posting celebratory photos with teammates on Instagram, captioned: “For the City. For the Fans.”
At the same time, Marcell posted a photo of Trent surrounded by loved ones, set to Drake’s “30 for 30 Freestyle,” a song that includes the line: “banners are ready in case we need to retire your jersey.” The choice of song lyrics triggered speculation among fans about a possible departure as his contract nears its end.
