Liverpool and Man City Eye Chelsea Star Cole Palmer Amid Summer Exit Rumors
Cole Palmer, one of Chelsea’s standout performers this season, has reportedly attracted interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City. The 21-year-old, who left City for Chelsea, has flourished at Stamford Bridge with 34 goals in 89 appearances.
Journalist Simon Phillips reports that Liverpool are seriously exploring a potential move, while Manchester City—Palmer’s former club—have already initiated contact regarding a possible return. Despite his limited role under Pep Guardiola, Palmer was highly valued during his time at the Etihad.
Both clubs are closely monitoring the young England international’s future, though Chelsea are likely to reject any transfer offers. Phillips clarified, “I’m not saying he’ll be sold, but both Manchester City and Liverpool have shown interest in Cole Palmer ahead of the summer, and City have made a recent approach.”
Chelsea icon John Terry has labeled Palmer “incredible,” and his addition could strengthen Liverpool’s attacking options, especially with the inconsistent form of players like Luis Díaz, Cody Gakpo, and Diogo Jota.
