Barcelona Target PSG’s Bradley Barcola in Major Summer Move
As they prepare for their Champions League semifinal clash with Inter Milan, Barcelona have set their sights on Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola, reports El Nacional.
The 22-year-old winger stood out earlier this season, especially after Kylian Mbappé’s departure. However, with new signings like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and the emergence of Ousmane Dembélé and Desire Doue, Barcola’s starting spot has become uncertain. Despite not being a regular starter anymore, he has delivered 18 goals and 17 assists this season.
Now, Barcola has instructed his agent Jorge Mendes to begin talks with Barça president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco. He’s said to be seeking a fresh challenge and sees a move to La Liga as the ideal next step.
New manager Hansi Flick reportedly admires Barcola and considers him a potential replacement for Raphinha, whose future with the club is unclear. Initial discussions between Mendes and Barcelona have already taken place.
However, PSG is demanding around €80 million for Barcola—double what they paid to acquire him from Lyon. While Barcelona are financially cautious, Flick’s backing might influence the club to move forward with a serious offer.
