During the official opening of the 2024-2025 academic year at the Real Madrid University School, Carlo Ancelotti paid tribute to Florentino Pérez and the pivotal role he has played in the club’s historic and recent successes.

Ancelotti also highlighted the unique DNA of Real Madrid, saying, “This club wins and continues to win because it does not accept defeats or draws. Many other clubs view failure differently. At Real Madrid, the demands are maximal, and that holds everyone accountable.” He showered praise on the club president, stating, “I’ve had the opportunity to work at many great clubs, but Real Madrid is the greatest in the world in terms of history, organization, and expectations. Florentino Pérez’s work is extraordinary; he plays a central role in the club’s victories.”

The coach also talked about the special atmosphere at the club, describing it as more than just a club but a family. He mentioned that they spend a lot of time together, and this environment pushes everyone to give their best. Personally, Ancelotti prefers working in such an environment, where each day is a new opportunity to progress.

Finally, Ancelotti recalled the unforgettable moment of winning the “Décima” (the 10th European Cup) in 2014. He reflected on how he was convinced they could win, even until the last second. The equalizer in that match was a psychological turning point, and from that moment on, he was sure they would win the historic match.

Through these comments, Carlo Ancelotti once again emphasized his deep connection to Real Madrid and his appreciation for the culture of excellence that makes the club a unique institution in the world of football.
