A former Real Madrid player has reportedly offered himself to Barcelona.
The club is actively seeking a versatile striker who can play across all three attacking positions, with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford being a potential target.
However, according to Sport, a surprise player has reached out to Barcelona through his Portuguese agent, Jorge Mendes, and is eager to join the club during the current transfer window.
The player in question is Marco Asensio, the 29-year-old former Real Madrid star now playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
Asensio’s future at PSG is uncertain due to inconsistent form and limited playing time, further complicated by PSG’s recent signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli. Mendes has offered Barcelona the opportunity to sign Asensio on loan until the season’s end.
While the club hasn’t rejected the offer, president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco have put the proposal on hold, awaiting the outcome of the potential deal for Rashford.
