Benfica’s pursuit of Tyrell Malacia has encountered issues, with the Manchester United defender not traveling to Portugal as initially planned, according to reports.
Meanwhile, Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu is on the brink of completing his transfer to Old Trafford after saying farewell to his teammates following their 3-1 win over Parma on Friday. Dorgu, who did not feature in the match, has reportedly undergone a medical and signed his contract ahead of his move to United.
United’s head coach Ruben Amorim is keen to recruit players who fit his preferred 3-4-3 formation and playing style, and Dorgu has been identified as an ideal fit for his system.
