Federico Chiesa Likely to Leave Liverpool as Napoli Renew Interest
Federico Chiesa’s time at Liverpool may soon come to an end, with renewed speculation linking him with a move back to Italy. Journalist Alfredo Pedullà reports that Napoli, now under the leadership of Antonio Conte, are once again interested in the Italian winger.
Napoli previously targeted Chiesa during his Juventus days, but he eventually joined Liverpool. However, the 27-year-old has found it difficult to make his mark at Anfield, struggling for consistent minutes in a crowded attack that includes stars like Mohamed Salah, Luis Díaz, Cody Gakpo, and Diogo Jota.
Pedullà notes that with Napoli aiming for a high-profile summer rebuild, Conte sees Chiesa as a strong option to bolster their wide positions. Having succeeded in Serie A before, Chiesa could flourish under Conte’s guidance and benefit from a return to familiar surroundings.
Given his limited role at Liverpool and the depth of attacking talent already at the club, a transfer could make sense for both parties. Moving back to Italy may offer Chiesa the regular playing time he needs, while Liverpool would free up space in their squad for other reinforcements.
