Liverpool Eye £100m Move for Premier League Star to Partner with Wirtz

Liverpool are reportedly targeting Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak in a high-profile summer transfer.

The Swedish international has been in exceptional form, widely regarded as the Premier League’s top striker after a stellar season. His performances played a key role in Newcastle qualifying for the Champions League and lifting the English League Cup.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool’s new manager Arne Slot is pushing for the signing of the 25-year-old, who netted 27 goals last season.

Why Liverpool Want Isak
Former Reds striker Michael Owen has described Isak as a “top class” talent who would enhance any squad. Liverpool are clearly in the market for a new attacking option, with Darwin Nunez scoring just seven times across all competitions last season—well below expectations. Bringing in Isak would represent a significant upgrade.

Although Newcastle are keen to keep their star forward and are working on a contract extension, Liverpool are prepared to make a major bid. The Merseyside club are reportedly willing to spend up to €120 million (£100m) to secure his services.

Will Newcastle Let Him Go?
Newcastle face a tough decision as Liverpool intensify their interest. While it may be hard for the Magpies to part with their top player, Liverpool’s stature as Premier League champions and a global football powerhouse could prove persuasive for Isak.

Having already established himself at Newcastle, the striker might see Liverpool as the ideal step forward in his career, offering the chance to contend for both domestic and European titles.

Liverpool are also believed to be closing in on a record-breaking transfer for Florian Wirtz. The question now is whether the club can finance two major signings in a single window
