Alexander Isak Expresses Views on Liverpool Amidst Shocking
Alexander Isak has openly shared his thoughts about potentially playing at Anfield, following rumors linking him to a Liverpool move.
After an impressive 27 goals in 42 appearances for Newcastle United during the 2024/25 season, Isak has become one of football’s most in-demand players.
Recently, top clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain have all been reported to show interest in the 25-year-old striker.
Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail reported: “Newcastle won’t sell Isak cheaply; the fee will likely be around £130-140 million. It’s uncertain if Liverpool will meet that price this summer, especially after signing Florian Wirtz, but it’s not impossible.”
In 2024, Isak praised Anfield as one of the best stadiums he has played at, which will certainly please Liverpool supporters.
He told Sky Sports: “Anfield is great, very great.”
Fans on social media have developed a new theory about how Liverpool might secure Isak’s signature.
One supporter commented: “Selling Alexander Isak makes sense for Newcastle. If they receive over £120 million, they could rebuild by strengthening defense and attack, replacing him with players like Gyökeres or Ekitike, without needing to sell Livramento.”
Another fan added: “Newcastle will demand over £130 million for Isak and then target Ekitike, their original first-choice signing, while making a profit.”
A third fan predicted: “If Isak heats up, expect this: Isak to Liverpool, Ekitike to Newcastle. In January 2022, Newcastle nearly signed Ekitike for €46 million but he chose to stay in France. The circumstances seem similar now.”
This summer, Liverpool have already signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and are close to completing a club-record deal for German international Florian Wirtz.
Additionally, Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez is heavily linked with a move to the reigning champions.
