Martín Zubimendi
Primary Role: Starting Central/Defensive Midfielder
Arsenal have successfully completed the signing of Martín Zubimendi from Real Sociedad in a major midfield upgrade. The Spanish international is admired for his calmness under pressure, intelligent positioning, and ball retention skills. Mikel Arteta sees him as a long-term solution in the No. 6 role, possibly replacing or rotating with Declan Rice in deeper midfield positions. Christian Nørgaard
Primary Role: Squad Player / Midfield Depth

Jesús Mosquera
Primary Role: Squad Player / Development Project (Defense)
The young defender joins as a long-term project. While not likely to feature heavily in the starting XI initially, Mosquera adds youthful energy and depth to the defensive line. He may see minutes in domestic cups and could develop under the guidance of senior players. Arteta views him as someone who could evolve into a more prominent role over time.
Kepa Arrizabalaga
Primary Role: Squad Player / Backup Goalkeeper
After stints with Chelsea and Real Madrid, Kepa has been brought in to strengthen Arsenal’s goalkeeping options. Though he’s not expected to displace David Raya as the first-choice keeper, his experience at the top level makes him a dependable option. His arrival likely means Aaron Ramsdale will be moving on in search of regular minutes elsewhere.

Target Role: Attacking Midfielder / Wide Playmaker
Arsenal are in active discussions with Crystal Palace to sign Eberechi Eze, one of the most exciting creative talents in the Premier League. Eze’s ability to glide past defenders, unlock deep blocks, and contribute with goals makes him an ideal addition for Arteta’s attacking setup. However, the deal is complicated due to Palace’s high valuation and interest from other top clubs. Arsenal may need to trigger his release clause or offer player(s) in exchange to make progress.
Viktor Gyökeres
Target Role: First-Choice Striker
Arsenal are in advanced talks with Sporting CP for prolific Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres. After activating his release clause (reportedly around £85–100 million), the club is working to finalize personal terms. Gyökeres had an outstanding season in Portugal, scoring goals consistently and showing immense work rate and physical presence—qualities Arteta values highly. He is seen as the missing piece in Arsenal’s attack and could be their marquee signing of the window.
