Liverpool have shifted their attention to Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as a possible Plan B amid increasing difficulties in securing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, according to French outlet L’Équipe.

The 22-year-old French international has dropped to fourth choice in PSG’s attacking ranks, now behind Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Désiré Doué, making him a potential candidate for an exit this summer.

Barcola, who joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for €50 million, has reportedly been on Liverpool’s radar for a while. Despite earlier hopes of a contract extension, his current situation at PSG may present the Reds with a timely opportunity to make a move.

However, prying the winger away from the newly crowned Champions League winners won’t come cheap. PSG are not actively looking to sell and would only consider a massive offer—likely in excess of €100 million, especially given Liverpool are a direct European rival.

Still, Liverpool may try to use their long-standing interest and Barcola’s reported openness to a new challenge to their advantage.

Barcola enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring 23 goals and providing 18 assists in 67 appearances, proving himself as a versatile attacking threat.

With negotiations for Isak dragging on due to Newcastle’s reluctance, Liverpool may see Barcola as a dynamic and valuable addition to bolster their frontline options—though fans remain divided on whether he matches the impact Isak would bring.
