Hansi Flick has reportedly made his position clear: he wants Ferran Torres to remain at Barcelona next season. 🇪🇸🔵🔴
Despite growing speculation surrounding the Spanish forward’s future and interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Flick continues to view Torres as an important part of his plans. Recent reports indicate that Barcelona currently have no intention of actively putting Ferran on the transfer list.
Flick’s desire to keep Torres makes plenty of sense. With Barcelona still looking for a new central striker, Ferran could become particularly important in the attacking rotation. He has the versatility to operate through the middle or from the wings, giving Flick another tactical option whenever the team needs a different attacking profile.
And there is another major factor. 👀
Barcelona are reportedly planning to discuss a new contract for Ferran in September, although financial fair-play restrictions mean the club cannot make a formal renewal offer immediately. His current contract runs until June 2027.
PSG’s interest could therefore create an interesting battle behind the scenes. Luis Enrique is reportedly keen on bringing Ferran to Paris, but Barcelona’s current stance is that the player remains part of Flick’s project.
For Flick, keeping Torres would provide valuable depth alongside Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Anthony Gordon and new signing Karim Adeyemi.
🔥 Ferran may have faced questions about his future, but Flick appears to have answered them: he wants the Spanish forward in his squad.
Now the big question is whether Ferran can repay that faith by producing his best football yet in a Barcelona shirt. 👀💙❤️
