BARCELONA HAVE ALREADY GIVEN ATLÉTICO TWO LA LIGA CHAMPIONS… NOW THE COLCHONEROS ARE SAYING “NO” TO JULIÁN ÁLVAREZ! 🔥🔴⚪
There is a fascinating history between these two clubs that makes the current Julián Álvarez saga even more spicy. 👀🍿
Back in 2013, Barcelona allowed David Villa to join Atlético Madrid, and the following season, Atlético went on to win LaLiga for the first time since 1996. Villa contributed 13 league goals during that title-winning campaign. 🏆⚽
Then came another chapter…
In 2020, Luis Suárez left Barcelona for Atlético, and guess what happened?
Atlético went on to win the 2020/21 LaLiga title, with Suárez scoring crucial goals and finishing the campaign as one of their key players. 🏆🔥
So Barça fans now have a hilarious argument:
“We gave you Villa. You won LaLiga.”
“We gave you Suárez. You won LaLiga again.”
“Now Julián wants Barça… and suddenly you don’t want to help us?” 😂😭
And Atlético’s answer appears to be a very firm:
NO CHANCE! 🚫🔴⚪
😱 ATLÉTICO ARE DRAWING THE LINE AT JULIÁN
The current situation is completely different from the Villa and Suárez transfers.
This time, Atlético have absolutely no intention of helping Barcelona strengthen a direct rival.
The club have reportedly rejected Barcelona’s approaches and remain determined to keep Álvarez in Madrid, despite the Argentine’s reported desire to move to Camp Nou.
That has turned the transfer into one of the biggest dramas of the summer. 💣🔥
Julián wants Barça.
Barça want Julián.
Atlético want neither of them to happen. 😭
🕷️ AND JULIÁN’S DREAM IS STILL BARÇA
The Argentine reportedly remains determined to fulfil his dream of playing for Barcelona and has rejected alternative opportunities because of his preference for the Catalan giants.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have apparently decided that they will only sign another striker if they can land Álvarez.
That’s how highly Hansi Flick and the club rate him. 🔵🔴🔥
But Atlético are standing firm.
And that has created a fascinating transfer-window standoff:
🇦🇷 JULIÁN: “I want Barça.”
🔵🔴 BARÇA: “We want Julián.”
🔴⚪ ATLÉTICO: “He’s staying.”
💰 THE MONEY: Could decide everything.
😂 BUT BARÇA FANS HAVE ALREADY STARTED THE JOKES!
The irony is impossible to ignore.
David Villa left Barcelona and Atlético won LaLiga.
Luis Suárez left Barcelona and Atlético won LaLiga.
Now Atlético are refusing to send another Barcelona star in the opposite direction.
And Barça supporters are basically saying:
“After all we’ve done for you, this is how you repay us?” 😂😭
Of course, Atlético’s success wasn’t simply because Barcelona sold those players. Both title-winning teams were excellent and deserved their championships.
But the coincidence is absolutely delicious for football banter. 🍿🔥
🚨 THIS TIME, ATLÉTICO ARE SAYING ENOUGH!
The club’s current stance is significantly harder.
Reports indicate Atlético have even rejected enormous offers and are refusing to sell Álvarez to Barcelona, partly because they see Barça as a direct sporting rival.
And with the transfer window approaching its final days, Barcelona are preparing to make another push.
But Atlético don’t appear ready to blink.
🏆 “DON’T WORRY… WE STILL WON’T WIN ANYTHING!” 😭
And here’s where the banter gets brutal. 😂💀
Barça fans can continue reminding Atlético:
Villa → LaLiga 🏆
Suárez → LaLiga 🏆
Julián → BARÇA? 👀
But if Atlético keep him, they will have to prove that keeping La Araña was worth all this drama.
Because despite all the noise, the boos, the transfer battle and the enormous financial figures being discussed…
TROPHIES ARE STILL WON ON THE PITCH. 🏟️🔥
And Barça fans will be hoping that this time, Atlético’s decision to block the move doesn’t come back to haunt them.
🔥 THE JULIÁN ÁLVAREZ WAR IS STILL ON!
Barcelona aren’t giving up.
Julián reportedly isn’t giving up.
Atlético certainly aren’t giving up.
And the clock is ticking. ⏳💣
VILLA LEFT. ATLÉTICO WON.
SUÁREZ LEFT. ATLÉTICO WON.
NOW JULIÁN WANTS BARÇA… AND ATLÉTICO HAVE SLAMMED THE DOOR SHUT! 🚪🔴⚪
But football has a funny way of writing the final chapter…
LET’S SEE WHO IS LAUGHING WHEN THE TROPHIES ARE HANDED OUT! 🏆😂🔥
