Liverpool have reportedly stepped up their search for another explosive winger, with Ismaïla Sarr emerging as a major target after their pursuit of Yankuba Minteh hit a dead end. 👀🔥
The Reds are believed to have made an opening £50 million approach for the Crystal Palace star, although reports differ on whether the offer was formally submitted. What is clear is that Liverpool have explored a deal for Sarr, while Palace have made their position extremely difficult.
And there is a very good reason Liverpool are interested. 😮💨⚡
Sarr enjoyed a sensational 2025/26 campaign, scoring 21 goals across competitions for Palace. His blistering pace, direct running and ability to attack from the right make him an intriguing option for Liverpool as Andoni Iraola looks to add more firepower to his forward line.
The timing is significant.
Liverpool have been desperately searching for another winger after failing to reach an agreement for Minteh, with Brighton rejecting offers of £50m and £60m before Liverpool moved on. Sarr has now become one of the alternatives being considered.
But Palace are refusing to make life easy. 😳
The Eagles have reportedly rejected Liverpool’s £50m approach and remain determined to keep their Senegalese star, despite growing interest from Anfield. Reports suggest Palace value Sarr closer to £55m–£60m and have little desire to sell this late in the window.
Liverpool, however, haven’t completely abandoned the idea.
The Reds are still pursuing Sarr while simultaneously working on their blockbuster move for Bradley Barcola, meaning Iraola could potentially end up with two major additions to his wide attacking options.
Imagine the possibilities… 🔥
⚡ Sarr on the right
💨 Barcola on the left
🎯 Wirtz creating chances
💥 Isak leading the attack
That is an attack capable of causing serious damage! 😱🔴
Sarr has also been a nightmare for Liverpool in the past, scoring seven times in 10 appearances against the Reds, making this potential transfer even more intriguing.
The big question now is whether Liverpool are prepared to return with a bigger offer.
£50M has reportedly been rejected. Palace want more. Liverpool still want Sarr. 👀💰
Could the Reds pull off another late transfer coup before the window closes? 🔥🔴
£50M for Ismaïla Sarr… would you pay more to get the deal done? 🤔👇
