Liverpool may not have walked away with all three points, but the Reds showed something that will excite supporters: character, resilience and a refusal to give up! 💪🔥
Nottingham Forest twice took the lead, first through Dan Ndoye and later from Morgan Gibbs-White’s penalty, leaving Liverpool staring at another frustrating result. But the response from the Reds was exactly what the Anfield faithful wanted to see. 😤🔴
Alexander Isak stepped up in the second half to bring Liverpool level, showcasing the quality that made his arrival such a huge talking point. ⚡🎯 But Forest struck again, forcing Liverpool to chase the game once more.
Then came the moment that sent Anfield into another frenzy! 🤯🔥
Víctor Muñoz! 🇪🇸💥
Making his full Liverpool debut, the winger produced a stunning late finish in the 82nd minute to drag the Reds back to 2-2 and rescue a valuable point. His celebration said it all: passion, belief and a player desperate to make his mark at Anfield. ❤️🔥
The draw means Liverpool have now started the Premier League campaign with consecutive 2-2 draws, after also sharing the spoils with Newcastle. It is certainly not the perfect start, but there are signs of attacking quality and fighting spirit within Andoni Iraola’s new-look side.
Florian Wirtz also continued to show glimpses of his creativity, while Isak opened his Liverpool scoring account. But defensively, there is clearly work to do if the Reds are going to challenge at the very top. 👀
Still, one thing is becoming clear…
THIS LIVERPOOL TEAM DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO GIVE UP! 🔥🔥
Two goals down? Fight back.
Behind again? Fight back.
Late in the game? Fight back! 😤❤️
There is plenty to improve, but the mentality is there.
And if Muñoz’s rocket is anything to go by, Liverpool supporters may have just witnessed the beginning of something very special. 🚀🔴
WHAT A WIN… WHAT A FIGHTBACK… WHAT A MOMENT! ❤️🔥👑
