Barcelona have pulled off one of the biggest late twists of the transfer window! 😱🔥 After their pursuit of Julián Álvarez became increasingly complicated, Barça have suddenly found their alternative and moved quickly to secure Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal. 💥
💰 AGREEMENT REACHED! Barcelona are set to pay around €10 million plus variables for the Brazilian forward, turning what looked like a desperate late search for a No. 9 into a potentially brilliant market opportunity.
And the deal is now extremely close…
🩺 MEDICAL BOOKED FOR MONDAY! Once Gabriel Jesus passes his medical, the move can be completed and the 29-year-old Brazilian will officially begin his Barcelona adventure. 🔵🔴👀
The timing is fascinating. Atlético Madrid have remained firmly opposed to selling Julián Álvarez to Barcelona, with the club publicly insisting that the Argentine is not for sale. That forced Barça to look elsewhere, and Gabriel Jesus suddenly emerged as the opportunity they could actually make happen.
🇧🇷 WHY GABRIEL JESUS?
The Brazilian isn’t simply a traditional centre-forward. He can lead the line, attack spaces, drift towards the wings and combine with teammates, giving Hansi Flick another flexible attacking weapon. Barcelona have been looking for a natural No. 9, and Jesús fits that profile while also bringing experience from both Manchester City and Arsenal.
💥 Even more intriguing is the price.
With Jesus entering the final stage of his Arsenal contract and no longer central to Mikel Arteta’s plans, Barcelona have reportedly been able to negotiate a deal worth around €10m, potentially rising with bonuses. That’s a completely different financial operation from the huge sums being discussed around Álvarez.
👀 Reports also indicate that Barça are discussing a contract of two seasons plus an optional third year for the Brazilian.
For Barcelona, this could be the kind of low-cost, high-upside gamble that suddenly becomes one of the stories of the window. 🔥
And here’s the twist…
🚨 Gabriel Jesus is not necessarily being treated as the permanent end of the Julián Álvarez dream. Reports suggest Barça’s move for the Brazilian is an independent operation, meaning the club can strengthen the attack now while continuing to monitor Álvarez for future transfer windows.
