It’s official: Gabriel Jesus will wear the legendary No. 9 shirt for Barcelona! 👕9️⃣
According to Jijantes FC, the Brazilian striker has been handed the famous number following his arrival from Arsenal. The shirt became available after Robert Lewandowski’s departure, and now Jesus has the opportunity to put his own name into Barça’s No. 9 history.
And what a shirt it is… 😮💨🔥
The Barcelona No. 9 has previously belonged to some enormous names, including Ronaldo Nazário, Romário, Patrick Kluivert, Samuel Eto’o, Zlatan Ibrahimović and Luis Suárez. 🐐🇧🇷🇺🇾
Now it belongs to Gabriel Jesus.
The timing is fascinating too. Jesus arrives after Barcelona’s explosive 5–2 victory over Rayo Vallecano, where Lamine Yamal and Raphinha both scored twice. The Brazilian now joins an attack already firing on all cylinders. ⚡💥
And Jesus has already made it clear that he isn’t coming to Barcelona expecting to change everything. He wants to help an already excellent team, compete for his place and bring his energy, movement and goals to Hansi Flick’s system.
From watching Barça in the Champions League as a child… 📺🥹
To wearing the No. 9 shirt at Camp Nou.
What a journey. 🇧🇷➡️🔵🔴
Gabriel Jesus. Barcelona No. 9.
Now it’s time to write his own chapter. 👑🔥
