Anthony Gordon has arrived in Barcelona and, judging by his first few weeks, he clearly did not come to Spain to waste time! 😮💨🔥
The England winger is putting together a sensational start to life in LaLiga, registering four assists in his first four appearances. That means Gordon has created a goal in every league game he has played this season. 🅰️🅰️🅰️🅰️
And the numbers tell only part of the story.
Gordon announced himself immediately on his Barcelona debut against Elche, coming off the bench and producing two assists in just 26 minutes during a 5-0 victory.
He then continued his creative run against Rayo Vallecano before producing yet another assist against Valencia. In Barcelona’s latest demolition job, a 5-0 victory at Mestalla, Gordon picked out Fermín López for Barça’s second goal.
🔥 Four LaLiga appearances. Four assists. Zero goals. Four goal contributions.
That is an outrageous start for a player still adapting to a completely different league and footballing environment.
Even more impressively, Gordon has already joined some serious company. His four-game assist streak has been compared with the starts previously produced by Barcelona greats and former Premier League stars.
And Barcelona themselves are absolutely flying.
Hansi Flick’s men have won all four of their opening LaLiga matches, scoring 17 goals along the way. Their latest statement came against Valencia, where Lamine Yamal scored twice while Fermín López, Raphinha and Pedri also found the net.
Gordon’s contribution has quietly become one of the most exciting parts of this attack. ⚡
His explosive pace gives Barcelona another way to hurt defenders. His willingness to run in behind stretches the opposition back line, while his delivery in the final third is proving increasingly dangerous. 🎯
And now opponents have another problem to solve:
Do you stop Gordon’s runs… or focus on Lamine Yamal and Raphinha? 😭🔥
That is exactly the kind of attacking headache Flick wants.
Gordon currently has 4 assists from 4 LaLiga appearances, with three starts and 242 minutes played.
For a player who arrived with enormous expectations, the response has been emphatic.
💙❤️ Anthony Gordon isn’t just settling into Barcelona. He’s making himself impossible to ignore.
And if this is only the beginning… Barça fans might be in for something very special this season. 👀🔥
