Manchester United’s academy has produced another statement performance, but this time one name is impossible to ignore: JJ Gabriel. 🤯🔥
The 15-year-old wonderkid stole the spotlight as Manchester United’s U19s cruised to a commanding 5-0 victory over Sabah in the UEFA Youth League, producing a performance that will have supporters talking long after the final whistle. 🔴⚽
And the headline belongs to Gabriel…
🎩 JJ GABRIEL: HAT-TRICK! ⚽⚽⚽
What a way to announce himself on the European stage! 😱🌟
Gabriel scored his first goal shortly before half-time, reacting brilliantly to a rebound and showing the kind of instinct you simply cannot teach. He then saved his biggest fireworks for the closing stages, scoring twice in quick succession to complete a sensational hat-trick. 🚀🔥
His second was pure confidence. After receiving the ball inside the box, Gabriel shifted onto his right foot and calmly picked out the bottom corner. 🎯
Then came the third. A perfectly weighted ball sent him racing through, and the youngster showed tremendous composure and strength to get past the pressure before smashing the finish beyond the goalkeeper. 💥⚽
Hat-trick. Match ball. History made. 🏆🎩
Gabriel’s treble also made him Manchester United’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the UEFA Youth League, achieving the feat at just 15 years and 339 days old and surpassing Angel Gomes’ previous record. 🤯📚
But the incredible numbers did not stop there.
United completely overwhelmed Sabah, registering 44 attempts, with 15 of those on target, while Sabah failed to record a single shot during the match. 😳🔥
The result was also another huge reminder of the talent developing inside Carrington. Gabriel had already been making waves at youth level, scoring 28 goals in 35 appearances for the U18s last season, before stepping up to the U21s this campaign.
And he is not completely unfamiliar to the senior setup either. Gabriel has trained with Manchester United’s first team and made appearances during pre-season, with Michael Carrick previously praising his talent while stressing the importance of managing his development carefully.
Now, after tonight, the hype is only getting louder. 🚨👀
At just 15, Gabriel is already being discussed as one of the most exciting young prospects around Manchester United. His technique, dribbling, movement and finishing have made him a player supporters are desperate to see develop. 🌟🔴
Tonight, though, he did not look like a youngster simply gaining experience.
He looked like a player demanding attention. 😮💨🔥
