But Reds fans will have to wait before seeing him at Anfield. N’Guessan is set to officially become a Liverpool player in January 2027, while he spends the 2026/27 campaign gaining valuable first-team experience on loan at Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois.

N’Guessan has already made 13 senior appearances for Saint-Étienne despite his young age, while his record for France’s youth teams has been particularly impressive. He scored four goals at the 2025 U17 European Championship and was named in the tournament’s Team of the Tournament.
His development has also taken him all the way through France’s youth setup, including the 2025 U20 World Cup.
Liverpool clearly aren’t just shopping for immediate solutions. The Reds are also investing heavily in the next generation, identifying young talents early and giving them opportunities to develop through competitive first-team football. 🧠
