Matheus Cunha has given Manchester United fans another reason to smile after revealing just how impressed he was the first time he watched Michael Carrick join the players during training. 😂🔥
According to Cunha, seeing his manager step into the session and start passing the ball around with the midfielders immediately caught his attention. The Brazilian was apparently left thinking, “WOW, he’s in shape, he can PLAY!” 😳⚽
And Cunha didn’t stop there! He jokingly admitted that Carrick might not be hitting those trademark long passes quite as often these days 😂, but when it comes to controlling the ball and operating between the lines, Carrick is still unbelievable. 👀🎯
That is some serious praise coming from a Premier League attacker who gets to watch Carrick’s football ability up close every single day. 🔴🔥
For United supporters who remember Carrick’s playing days, this probably brings back plenty of memories. His calmness, vision, passing range and ability to dictate the tempo were some of the qualities that made him such an important figure at Old Trafford. 🧠🎩
Now Cunha has basically confirmed that the football brain and technical quality are still very much there! 😂❤️
Imagine Carrick actually putting the boots on for a competitive Premier League game… United fans would absolutely love it! 🤣🔴
CUNHA HAS SPOKEN! 😂🔥 Do you think Michael Carrick could still play in the Premier League today? 👀
