That look on the Barcelona bench tells a story.

The intensity. The frustration. The silence.

And after Barcelona’s chaotic 4–2 victory over Levante, supporters have been debating whether Hansi Flick’s demanding standards are beginning to put serious pressure on some of his players. 👀

Barcelona started brilliantly and appeared to be cruising after Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal put them in control. Yamal then added another after half-time to make it 3–0, and the match looked finished.

But then everything changed. 😳

Levante scored twice through Iván Romero and Roger Brugué, turning a comfortable Barcelona evening into a nervy final few minutes.

Suddenly, the Barça bench was tense.

Flick was visibly demanding more intensity from his players, while the substitutes watched nervously as Levante pushed for an unlikely equaliser. Barcelona eventually survived, with Karim Adeyemi producing a devastating late finish to make it 4–2.

But one player whose situation has sparked plenty of discussion is Fermín López.

The midfielder started the match in midfield alongside Rodri and Pedri, yet he struggled to impose himself on the game. One post-match assessment gave him a modest rating, noting that he had difficulty finding space between the lines and getting into scoring positions.

That is where the competition becomes brutal.

Fermín is now fighting for minutes in a midfield containing Pedri, Rodri and Gavi, while Barcelona also have Marc Bernal and Dani Olmo competing for opportunities.

There are no easy minutes anymore. 😰🔥

And the same applies to the attack.

Raphinha started as captain and produced another outstanding performance, creating two goals for Yamal. Lamine scored twice. Adeyemi came off the bench and sealed the victory.

Even Anthony Gordon, another major summer addition, was fighting for his place in an incredibly competitive front line.

That is the reality of Flick’s Barcelona.

Nobody is guaranteed anything. 🥶

You can be a star one week and find yourself fighting for minutes the next.

And perhaps that is exactly what Flick wants.

The German coach has repeatedly demanded intensity from his team, and Barcelona’s response this season has been spectacular: five league matches, five victories and 15 points.

But the Levante match also exposed a weakness.

Barcelona relaxed.

They allowed a 3–0 lead to become 3–2.

And for several minutes, the league leaders looked genuinely vulnerable.

Flick will not be happy with that.

The message from the bench was clear: keep running, keep pressing, keep controlling the match.

Because this Barcelona team may have incredible attacking talent, but if they switch off, even a three-goal advantage can disappear frighteningly quickly. 😳

Fermín knows the competition.

Raphinha knows it.

Gavi knows it.

Adeyemi knows it.

Everyone knows it.

And that’s what makes this Barça squad so dangerous.

Flick isn’t building a team where players can relax. He’s building one where everyone has to fight for their shirt. 🔥🔵🔴
