England finally got their Nations League campaign up and running — and it was a Trent Alexander-Arnold to Anthony Gordon connection that broke the deadlock! 😮‍💨🔥

After a frustrating first half against Czechia, Trent stepped forward immediately after the break. The Real Madrid defender collected the ball on the right and delivered one of those trademark whipped crosses into the box.

Anthony Gordon read it perfectly. The Barcelona winger attacked the delivery and produced a superb header into the far corner to put England ahead in the 47th minute. 🎯🔥

And Gordon wasn’t finished.

The goal was his third in three consecutive England appearances, continuing a remarkable run for the winger. He had already scored against Spain in England’s previous Nations League match and had also found the net in the World Cup semi-final against Argentina.

What made the moment even more interesting was the relationship between the two players.

Gordon admitted afterwards that he had been “dying to play” with Trent, praising the defender’s unique ability to deliver passes and crosses that very few players can produce.

For Trent, it was a huge moment personally too.

It was his first England start under Thomas Tuchel and his first international start in almost two years. He immediately responded with a decisive assist. 👏🔥

Harry Kane then added England’s second in the 69th minute, completing a 2–0 victory in Prague. Czechia had been reduced to 10 men after Pavel Šulc was sent off in the first half, but England still had to find the breakthrough before eventually taking control.

And there was another exciting moment for the future: Rio Ngumoha made his competitive England debut, coming on late in the match. 🚨👀

From Trent’s pinpoint delivery to Gordon’s explosive movement, England finally found the combination they needed.

Trent crosses. Gordon attacks. England score. 🔥🏴

That connection could be one to watch very closely. 👀⚡
