Cunha isn’t simply a striker waiting inside the penalty area. He’s capable of dropping deep, carrying the ball, creating chances, combining with teammates and operating in several attacking positions.
His first United campaign produced 10 Premier League goals, following the 15 league goals he scored for Wolves in 2024/25.
Cunha’s creativity and ability to connect midfield with attack make him incredibly valuable. He can create something out of nothing, drive at defenders and give United another player capable of taking responsibility when Bruno Fernandes is heavily marked. 🇧🇷✨

United’s own 2025/26 statistics showed that Cunha and Šeško were both among the club’s most prolific shooters. Cunha had 35 shots on target, while Šeško had 32. Their league goal totals were also remarkably close: Cunha 10, Šeško 11.
So this isn’t a case of one player being miles ahead of the other.
