Barcelona’s left-back situation is becoming increasingly interesting, and Alejandro Balde’s future at Camp Nou is now surrounded by uncertainty. 👀
The image points toward Fulham’s Antonee Robinson as a potential option for Barça, with the American international pictured in the Barcelona colours alongside Balde. 🇺🇸🔵🔴
Balde remains a Barcelona player, but his position has become much less secure under Hansi Flick. The club’s official squad list still includes him, while recent reports say competition from Xavi Espart and João Cancelo has pushed him down the pecking order.
That has naturally raised questions about whether Barça could eventually consider a change.
🔥 AND THAT’S WHERE ROBINSON ENTERS THE PICTURE!
The Fulham full-back has built a reputation as one of the Premier League’s energetic left-backs. His biggest strengths include pace, athleticism, aggressive overlapping and the ability to cover huge spaces.
For a Barcelona side that often pushes its full-backs high up the pitch, those qualities could be extremely useful. ⚡
Imagine Robinson bombing down the left while Lamine Yamal causes chaos on the opposite side… 😮💨🔥
Barcelona could potentially have:
🇺🇸 Robinson — LEFT-BACK
🇪🇸 Cubarsí — CENTRE-BACK
🇫🇷 Koundé — RIGHT-BACK
🇪🇸 Yamal — RIGHT WING
That would give Barça an incredibly athletic defensive structure while maintaining plenty of attacking threat.
But there is an important reality check.
🔵🔴 BARÇA HAVE NOT CONFIRMED A MOVE FOR ROBINSON.
The image is a transfer concept, not an announcement of an agreement. And Balde’s future is not settled either. Recent reporting indicates that he ultimately chose to remain at Barcelona after discussions with Flick, despite earlier reports of a possible departure.
However, the situation could change quickly if Balde continues struggling for regular minutes.
And with reports recently suggesting that Barcelona could be open to a January loan, the left-back position could become one of the areas to watch during the next transfer window.
👀 SO, COULD ANTONEE ROBINSON BE BARÇA’S NEXT LEFT-BACK?
It would certainly be an interesting move.
Balde offers explosive pace and Barça DNA, while Robinson would bring Premier League experience, physicality and relentless running.
One thing is clear:
🔥 BARCELONA NEED THEIR LEFT SIDE FIRING AGAIN.
And if Flick decides that a change is necessary, the transfer market could provide some very interesting solutions. 🔵🔴⚡
