If Manchester United eventually have to plan for life after Bruno Fernandes, two exciting names could emerge as dream replacements: Nico Paz and Arda Güler. Both are creative, technically gifted and capable of playing as attacking midfielders.
Nico Paz has developed rapidly at Como and remains connected to Real Madrid, who retained a buy-back option for 2027-28. His vision, close control, passing and ability to create chances make him an intriguing option for United. (Real Madrid)
Arda Güler, meanwhile, has continued to grow in importance at Real Madrid and has just agreed a new contract that reportedly runs until 2031. His left foot, creativity, shooting and ability to operate between midfield and attack make him a seriously exciting prospect. (Diario AS)
United would have some huge shoes to fill. Bruno has been one of the club’s most influential players since arriving in 2020, producing double figures for goals and assists in every full season and breaking the Premier League assists record in 2025/26. (manutd.com)
