Barcelona fans, Hansi Flick could soon face one of his biggest selection headaches! 💣💙❤️
After spending months on the sidelines with a knee injury, Frenkie de Jong is making progress in his recovery and has returned to partial training with his teammates. However, he still needs time to regain full match fitness, with reports suggesting that a return to competitive action could come towards the end of October. 👀⏳
But here is where things get interesting! 🥶🔥
Barcelona have continued performing without their Dutch midfield maestro, and the competition for places has become fierce. With Pedri, Fermín López, Rodri, Gavi, Marc Bernal and Dani Olmo among the midfield options available to Flick, De Jong will have to fight for his place when he is fully fit. 💪⚽
SO, WHO SHOULD MAKE WAY FOR FRENKIE? 🤔
🇳🇱 Frenkie de Jong: His ability to carry the ball, escape pressure and dictate the tempo could give Barcelona another dimension in midfield.
🇪🇸 Pedri: The creative heartbeat of the team, whose vision and ability to control possession make him a crucial player.
🇪🇸 Fermín López: An energetic midfielder who brings intensity, attacking runs and a goal threat from deeper positions.
🇪🇸 Rodri: Another option in the midfield debate, offering Flick a different profile as he balances control and creativity.
🇪🇸 Marc Bernal: A young talent who could also find himself competing for minutes as the midfield battle intensifies.
The big question is whether Flick will restore De Jong to the starting XI immediately after he regains fitness or gradually bring him back into the team. With Barcelona facing a demanding run of fixtures, rotation could be just as important as choosing the strongest possible lineup. 🔥🏆
One thing is certain: being a big name will not guarantee anyone a starting spot! Every midfielder will have to prove his worth. 💯🔵🔴
