Liverpool could be handed a massive boost ahead of their Premier League showdown with Brentford this Saturday, as Dominik Szoboszlai is hoping to return from injury! 😍💪
The Hungarian midfielder has been sorely missed after a minor hamstring problem forced him to sit out Liverpool’s disappointing 3-0 defeat to Manchester City. He has also been ruled out of the Champions League clash against LASK, leaving the Reds without one of their most energetic midfielders. 😩⚽
But now, there is fresh hope at Anfield! 👀❤️
Speaking during his latest press conference, Liverpool defender Milos Kerkez delivered an encouraging update about his Hungarian teammate, suggesting that Szoboszlai will be desperate to return as quickly as possible.
🗣️ Milos Kerkez said:
“I don’t know if he is fit for Saturday. You’ll have to ask the gaffer that. I know Dom and he doesn’t like to be out long. Knowing him, he wants to play every game and will want to play Saturday.”
🔥 Those words will certainly give Liverpool supporters something to be optimistic about!
Szoboszlai is known for his incredible work rate, aggressive pressing, long-range shooting and ability to make things happen in the final third. His presence could be crucial as Liverpool look to put their defeat to Manchester City behind them and get back to winning ways. 💥🔴
However, there is still a major question mark over his availability. Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola has confirmed that Szoboszlai, alongside Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak, has not yet returned to full team training. The manager is monitoring their recovery day by day and has admitted that it remains uncertain whether they will be ready for Brentford or a subsequent fixture. 🏥⚠️
And there is another problem for Liverpool! 😳
Ryan Gravenberch will miss the Brentford match through suspension following his red card against Manchester City, making Szoboszlai’s potential return even more significant for the Reds’ midfield options. 👀🔥
Imagine Liverpool having Szoboszlai back just when they need his energy and creativity the most! Could his return provide the spark needed to get their Premier League campaign back on track? 🤔❤️
For now, the final decision rests with Iraola and the medical team. Liverpool fans will be hoping their Hungarian powerhouse receives the green light to return to action this weekend! 🇭🇺💪
🔴 LIVERPOOL FANS, SHOULD SZOBOSZLAI START AGAINST BRENTFORD IF HE’S FIT, OR SHOULD IRAOLA PROTECT HIM AND BRING HIM ON AS A SUBSTITUTE? 👇🔥
