Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has hilariously dismissed the bizarre conspiracy theory claiming that Vinícius Júnior has been replaced by a body double!
The Brazilian superstar has been at the centre of wild online discussions, with some fans questioning whether the person they see on the pitch is really the same Vini they have always known. The theory has spread across social media, turning edited pictures and differences in appearance into a full-blown internet mystery!
But Courtois is having none of it!
When asked about the strange theory, the Belgian goalkeeper made his position crystal clear:
“Vini body double conspiracy theory? No! Of course it’s the real Vini!”
Courtois even revealed that the conspiracy had reached his own family! He explained that his father had also sent him something about the bizarre claims, showing just how far the story had travelled.
The Belgian goalkeeper pointed out that people can use Photoshop to alter someone’s appearance, then turn those edited pictures into a conspiracy theory that spreads around the world.
And that is exactly what appears to have happened here. The rumours gained attention after online users compared pictures of Vinícius before and after a reported cosmetic procedure involving his chin. Some began questioning his appearance, tattoos and even his performances, despite there being no credible evidence that the Brazilian has been replaced.
THE REAL MADRID DRESSING ROOM MUST BE HAVING A FIELD DAY!
Imagine training alongside Vini every day, only to open social media and discover people claiming your teammate is secretly an entirely different person! The whole situation sounds like a movie, but it has become a genuine talking point among football fans.
Courtois has made it clear that he knows exactly who he is playing alongside, and his response sends a simple message: not everything that goes viral on the internet deserves to be believed.
THE INTERNET HAS OFFICIALLY GONE TOO FAR!
In today’s social media world, one edited picture can spark millions of views, endless arguments and the wildest theories imaginable. But a change in someone’s appearance is not proof of a secret replacement.
For now, the so-called Vinícius body-double theory remains an internet rumour without credible evidence, and Courtois has no doubts about his teammate’s identity.
Case closed, according to Courtois!
But seriously, how did a football discussion turn into a body-double investigation? The internet never runs out of surprises!
