Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close watch on Inter Milan’s defensive superstar Alessandro Bastoni as the Reds consider strengthening their centre-back options ahead of upcoming transfer windows! 💣🔴
According to reports attributed to Football Insider, the Italy international remains one of the high-level defenders on Liverpool’s radar, having been monitored by the club for some time. 👀🇮🇹
The message from Anfield is clear: a new centre-back could become a major transfer priority, with Liverpool expected to assess their options over the next two transfer windows.
Bastoni would be an exciting name for Liverpool supporters. The Inter defender is renowned for his composure on the ball, intelligent positioning and ability to launch attacks with accurate passes from the back. His quality in possession makes him particularly attractive to teams that want their defenders to contribute to building play rather than simply clearing danger. 🧠⚽

The reported interest comes amid questions over Liverpool’s long-term defensive plans, particularly with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez approaching the final stages of their current contracts. A recent report has also named Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck, Nottingham Forest’s Murillo and Barcelona’s Jules Koundé among the defenders being considered.
However, Liverpool fans should keep their excitement under control for now. There is no confirmed agreement or official bid for Bastoni. Inter Milan are expected to be difficult to negotiate with, and any potential deal would likely require a substantial financial commitment.
If Liverpool manage to bring Bastoni to Anfield, he could add elite passing ability, defensive experience and leadership to the back line. But the big question is whether the Reds can convince Inter to part ways with one of their most important defenders. 👀🔴
Liverpool fans, would you sign Alessandro Bastoni as Virgil van Dijk’s long-term successor? 🤔🔥
