Liverpool fans are beginning to ask serious questions about the club’s left-back situation, and the debate between Milos Kerkez and Kostas Tsimikas is becoming increasingly frustrating. 😂
At this point, it almost feels like Liverpool supporters are being forced to choose between two problems. When Kerkez plays, some fans are left frustrated by his defensive positioning, decision-making and inconsistent deliveries in the final third. When Tsimikas gets his opportunity, his own mistakes and questionable performances can leave supporters asking for Kerkez to return. 🤦♂️
Kerkez arrived at Anfield with enormous expectations after impressing at Bournemouth. His energy, aggressive attacking runs and ability to drive forward made him an exciting addition. However, translating that potential into consistent performances in a Liverpool shirt has not been straightforward. 🔥
Tsimikas, meanwhile, has valuable experience at Anfield. He has won major trophies with Liverpool, delivered important performances and famously scored the winning penalty in the 2022 FA Cup final. But his inconsistency has also prevented him from establishing himself as a dependable first-choice option. ❤️
The frustrating part is that both players have qualities Liverpool need, but neither has consistently convinced supporters that the left-back position is completely secure.
And with Andy Robertson no longer at Anfield, the responsibility of filling that position has become even bigger. Liverpool need someone who can defend properly, support the attack, deliver dangerous crosses and provide consistency throughout the season.
The question is no longer simply whether Kerkez is better than Tsimikas. It’s whether either player is currently good enough to give Liverpool the reliability they need in that position. 👀
Liverpool fans, let’s settle this debate! Is Kerkez actually better than Tsimikas, or are we just choosing the lesser of two problems? 😂🔴
