Manchester United fans are about to get their first taste of the club’s latest midfield statement! 😍🔴
Carlos Baleba will be unveiled to the Old Trafford crowd before kick-off against Ipswich Town, giving supporters the chance to welcome the Cameroon international as a new Red Devil. 🥁🔥
The 22-year-old midfielder completed his move from Brighton in a deal reported to be worth up to £70 million, signing a five-year contract with the option of an additional year. United have been chasing Baleba for some time, and his arrival represents another major piece of Michael Carrick’s midfield rebuild. 💰⚽
And there’s plenty of excitement around what Baleba can eventually bring. Carrick has described him as a player with “massive potential” who can add balance to United’s midfield, while captain Bruno Fernandes has welcomed the youngster as an exciting addition to the squad. 💪🔥
But there is one painful twist… 😭
Baleba won’t be making his competitive debut against Ipswich. The midfielder is recovering from an ankle injury and is expected to remain sidelined for up to around three weeks. 😩🚑
So Sunday’s moment will be all about the introduction. Imagine the Old Trafford lights, the roar from the Stretford End and Baleba walking onto the pitch in that famous red shirt for the first time. 🏟️🔥🔴
After United’s disappointing 2-0 defeat to Hull City on the opening weekend, supporters will be desperate for something to celebrate. The arrival of Baleba could provide exactly that spark, even if they have to wait a little longer before seeing him destroy Premier League midfields in action. 👀💥
The No.20 has arrived.
Now Old Trafford gets its first proper welcome. ❤️🔴🔥
