Liverpool’s interest in Michael Olise continues to be one of the biggest transfer stories surrounding the club. The Bayern Munich winger has long been admired by the Reds, particularly as Liverpool look to strengthen their right side following Mohamed Salah’s departure.

Olise enjoyed a spectacular 2025/26 campaign, finishing the Bundesliga season with 15 goals and a league-leading 19 assists before producing seven assists for France at the 2026 World Cup.

His profile makes the attraction obvious. Olise primarily operates from the right wing, can also play centrally, and is known for his creativity, dribbling and ability to create chances. Bayern officially have him under contract until June 2029.

Liverpool were linked with a move during the summer, but Bayern made it clear they were not looking to sell. Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said in July that no offer had been received for Olise and indicated the club intended to keep him.

However, the situation could be worth monitoring beyond this season. Bayern have reportedly not completely guaranteed Olise’s long-term future beyond next summer, while Liverpool continue to be mentioned among the clubs interested in him.

There is also competition for his signature. Real Madrid have been strongly linked with the French international, while reports suggest Olise’s own preference could eventually be a move to Spain rather than a return to England.

So the graphic may be showing a Liverpool dream rather than a completed transfer — Olise is still a Bayern player, and there is no confirmed Liverpool agreement.

But if Liverpool eventually decide to make a serious move, the Bayern superstar would certainly be one of the most eye-catching names available on their radar. 👀🔴🔥
