Liverpool are entering a new chapter, and there is plenty for Reds supporters to be excited about. With Andoni Iraola now leading the team, a talented squad has been assembled with a mixture of experience, creativity, pace and young potential.
Alisson remains a huge presence in goal, while Virgil van Dijk brings leadership and experience at the back. Ronald Araújo and Jérémy Jacquet add more options in defence, giving Iraola different ways to build his back line.
In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Florian Wirtz offer a fascinating combination of control, energy and creativity. Wirtz in particular gives Liverpool another player capable of unlocking stubborn defences and creating chances between the lines.
And then there is the attack!
Alexander Isak gives Liverpool a proven goalscoring threat, while Hugo Ekitiké, Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha, Victor Muñoz and the explosive Bradley Barcola provide more attacking options. Barcola officially joined Liverpool from Paris Saint-Germain in August and arrived with a huge reputation after winning major honours in France.
Barcola has already made his ambition clear: he wants to win the Premier League with Liverpool. That mentality is exactly what supporters want to see from a player arriving at Anfield with big expectations.
The squad is still adapting to a new manager and a new style, so improvement will not happen overnight. But with every training session, every match and every new partnership, this Liverpool side has the opportunity to become stronger.
Premier League?
Champions League?
Nobody can guarantee what the season will bring, but the ambition inside the squad is clear. Liverpool have the quality to compete, and the journey is only beginning.
