Real Madrid are reportedly keeping a close eye on Alexis Mac Allister as the Argentine midfielder’s long-term future at Liverpool becomes increasingly uncertain. ⚪👀
Mac Allister’s current Liverpool contract runs until June 2028, but Football Insider reports that the Reds are currently not planning to offer him an extension, potentially opening the door to a major transfer in 2027.
And this is where the story gets VERY interesting… 👀🔥
The 27-year-old reportedly felt disappointed after seeing midfield teammates Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch receive new contracts while his own situation remained unresolved. Mac Allister publicly admitted earlier this month that he was “very sad” not to receive a new deal, although he insisted he would continue giving everything for Liverpool.
Despite the uncertainty, Mac Allister chose to remain at Anfield during the summer even though he acknowledged there were opportunities to leave. He explained that he still believes Liverpool are the right club for him and that the team can achieve something special. ❤️🔴
His father and agent, Carlos Mac Allister, has also insisted that no one from Real Madrid has contacted the family and that Alexis remains fully committed to his current Liverpool contract.
But Madrid’s reported interest refuses to disappear. 😮💨⚪
The Spanish giants are said to have been monitoring the World Cup-winning midfielder for some time, with the possibility of making a move when the 2027 transfer window arrives. Importantly, there has been no formal Real Madrid offer at this stage.
Mac Allister arrived at Liverpool from Brighton in 2023 for around £35 million, and he quickly became one of the key pieces of the Reds’ midfield. 🇦🇷🏆
Now Liverpool face an intriguing decision.
Do they eventually reward him with a new contract? 🤔
Do they allow the situation to continue into 2027? ⏳
Or could the Argentine superstar eventually find himself wearing that famous white shirt at the Santiago Bernabéu? 👀🔥
For now, Mac Allister remains a Liverpool player. But with Real Madrid reportedly watching closely and his contract situation still unresolved, 2027 could become a HUGE year for Alexis Mac Allister. 💣🇦🇷⚪🔴
