Jules Koundé has reportedly addressed his reduced playing time at Barcelona, and his comments point directly toward Hansi Flick’s decisions and his own performances last season. 👀🔥
The French defender is believed to understand why he has not enjoyed the same level of minutes he might have expected. Rather than blaming the manager or creating controversy, Koundé reportedly accepts that Flick has the final say when it comes to team selection. 🧠⚽
💬 “Limited playing time at Barça? It’s Flick’s decision and consequence of my last season in which I underperformed.”
That statement, if accurately represented, would show a remarkably honest attitude from Koundé. Instead of demanding guaranteed minutes, the defender appears to recognize that competition at Barcelona is fierce — and that every player has to earn his place. 🔥
Koundé’s versatility has always been one of his biggest strengths. He can operate at right-back or centre-back, giving Flick valuable tactical options. But versatility also means competition is enormous, with Barcelona possessing several defenders capable of filling different roles. 💪🔵🔴
And Flick is not known for selecting players simply because of reputation. If a player is not at his best, another teammate can take his place. That makes every training session and every appearance an opportunity to prove a point. 👊
For Koundé, the message is simple: perform and force Flick to change his mind. 😤🔥
The defender still has plenty of quality and experience, and one strong run of performances could completely change the situation. Barcelona will need depth throughout a long season, meaning Koundé is almost certainly going to get important opportunities.
But the competition is real. 👀
If Koundé wants to become an undisputed starter again, he will have to show Flick that the version of him from last season is gone — and that the best Jules Koundé is back. 💙❤️🔥
This could be the beginning of a serious comeback at Barça. 🚀🔵🔴
