Barcelona’s painful El Clásico defeat against Real Madrid has become even more heartbreaking, with rising star Xavi Espart set to spend approximately SEVEN WEEKS ON THE SIDELINES! 😭🏥
The 19-year-old full-back was handed a huge opportunity by Hansi Flick, starting against Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou. However, what should have been another memorable chapter in his breakthrough season turned into a nightmare after he suffered an ankle injury during the encounter. 💔⚽
🚨 OFFICIAL: XAVI ESPART OUT FOR AROUND SEVEN WEEKS!
Barcelona have confirmed that medical tests revealed an injury to the syndesmosis joint in Espart’s right ankle following contact with an opposing player during the Clásico. The club expects him to be unavailable for approximately seven weeks. 😢
The young defender was forced off around the 30th minute and replaced by Alejandro Balde, leaving Flick with another defensive headache at a time when Barcelona are already struggling with injuries at the back. 💣🚑
🔥 FROM HEROIC PERFORMANCE AGAINST PSG TO A CLÁSICO NIGHTMARE!
Espart had been attracting attention after his impressive display against Paris Saint-Germain, where he demonstrated his confidence, versatility and willingness to compete against top-level opposition.
Despite experiencing ankle discomfort against PSG, the youngster was trusted to start against Real Madrid because of Barcelona’s defensive injury problems. Unfortunately, he could not finish the match. 😔💙❤️
💥 ANOTHER HEADACHE FOR HANSI FLICK!
Espart’s absence further reduces Barcelona’s defensive options as the club prepares for a demanding run of La Liga and Champions League fixtures. Flick will need to manage his remaining defenders carefully while hoping that other injured players return soon.
For Espart, the priority now is recovery. At just 19, he still has plenty of time to develop, learn and establish himself in Barcelona’s first team. His breakthrough performances have already given Culers reasons to believe in his potential. 🌟👏
Barcelona fans will undoubtedly be hoping to see the talented youngster return stronger, fitter and ready to fight for his place once again! 💪🔵🔴
CULERS, DROP A ❤️ FOR XAVI ESPART AND WISH HIM A SPEEDY RECOVERY! 🙏💙❤️
