Liverpool supporters have another reason to smile ahead of Sunday’s blockbuster Premier League showdown against Arsenal at Anfield! 😍⚽
Head coach Andoni Iraola has delivered encouraging news regarding the fitness of two important players, Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Muñoz, confirming that both have a chance of returning to the matchday squad.
Speaking ahead of the massive encounter, Iraola said:
“I think they have a chance, but I don’t know for sure if they will be involved or not. We still have two days.”
🔥 SZOBOSZLAI’S RETURN COULD BE HUGE!
The Hungarian midfielder has been struggling with a hamstring problem after being forced off during Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Brentford.
His absence has been felt in midfield, particularly because of his incredible work rate, pressing ability, creativity and eye for goal.
Liverpool will certainly welcome his return, especially against an Arsenal side that demands concentration and intensity throughout the game.
🇪🇸 VICTOR MUÑOZ ALSO IN CONTENTION!
Muñoz has also been sidelined with a knee problem picked up during the Brentford encounter.
His possible return would provide Iraola with another attacking option and greater flexibility when selecting his squad.
⚠️ BUT THERE IS STILL A CATCH!
Neither player is guaranteed to feature. Both must prove their fitness before a final decision is made.
Liverpool are also expected to be without Jeremie Frimpong, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni and Hugo Ekitike because of their respective injuries.
🔥 FIVE CONSECUTIVE WINS AND NOW TWO POSSIBLE RETURNS!
Liverpool head into this showdown after recording five consecutive victories across three competitions, including their dramatic penalty-shootout triumph over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.
However, Arsenal will be a completely different challenge.
The Gunners are the reigning Premier League champions, and Iraola knows his players must be ready for an extremely demanding battle at Anfield.
The Reds currently sit fourth, six points behind Arsenal, making Sunday’s encounter an important opportunity to close the gap.
Anfield is getting ready for another explosive night of football! 🏟️🔥
LIVERPOOL FANS, IMAGINE HAVING SZOBOSZLAI AND MUÑOZ BACK AGAINST ARSENAL! 😍🔴
Can Liverpool make it six consecutive victories, or will Arsenal spoil the party at Anfield? 👀👇
