With Cole Palmer and João Pedro both unavailable for the massive encounter against Liverpool, Chelsea will need other players to step up and take responsibility in the attacking department.

This is exactly the kind of match where he needs to demonstrate his quality, leadership and ability to influence games without Palmer carrying much of the creative responsibility. He must become one of Chelsea’s biggest attacking threats and show that he can deliver when the pressure is highest. 💪

Danny Welbeck could also offer valuable attacking experience, movement and a different dimension in the final third.
Xabi Alonso must understand that Anfield is not a place to approach with fear. Chelsea need to be brave, take risks, attack with confidence and make Liverpool uncomfortable from the opening whistle.
Palmer and João Pedro may be missing, but that cannot become an excuse for another disappointing attacking performance.
