Real Madrid have a special talent in their defence, and Dean Huijsen is increasingly giving fans reasons to get excited!
The young Spanish centre-back continues to impress with his composure, intelligence and remarkable understanding of the game. While many defenders rely on physical battles, aggressive tackles and last-ditch challenges, Huijsen is showing that defending can also be about timing, anticipation and knowing exactly where to be.
And one particular statistic is attracting plenty of attention!
Huijsen has reportedly completed FOUR consecutive matches without committing a single foul, against some notable opposition:
Barcelona\ Espanyol\ Sevilla\ Real Sociedad
That’s an impressive achievement for a young centre-back playing at the highest level of Spanish football!
THE ART OF DEFENDING WITHOUT FOULING!
What makes Huijsen special is not simply his ability to win possession, but HOW he does it.
His excellent positioning allows him to close down dangerous spaces before opponents can exploit them. His anticipation helps him read attacking movements early, while his composure allows him to recover the ball without unnecessarily throwing himself into challenges.
Instead of constantly chasing attackers, he often appears to understand their next move before they make it.
That is the difference between simply being a defender and becoming an intelligent defensive leader!
A FUTURE REAL MADRID DEFENSIVE LEADER?
At just 21 years old, Huijsen still has plenty of room to develop. His passing ability, confidence on the ball, physical qualities and willingness to build attacks from the back make him an exciting profile for Real Madrid.
Of course, he still needs consistency, experience and further improvement, but the potential is undeniable.
Real Madrid have always valued defenders capable of combining defensive discipline with technical quality. Huijsen appears to have the ingredients to become an important part of that tradition.
The message is clear: Real Madrid may have discovered another defensive gem!
If he continues developing at this rate, European football could soon be talking about Dean Huijsen as one of the finest centre-backs of his generation.
MADRIDISTAS, BE HONEST!
Could Dean Huijsen become Real Madrid’s defensive leader for the next decade?
