Liverpool Set to Launch €60m Bid for Dutch Star Xavi Simons

With the Premier League title secured, Liverpool are shifting focus to strengthening their squad ahead of next season. Under manager Arne Slot, who has had a promising start at Anfield despite limited spending, the club is now prepared to back him financially to build a long-term, successful team.

According to Empire of the Kop, Liverpool are preparing an initial €60 million (£51.1 million) offer for RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons. The 22-year-old Dutch international has drawn attention from several major European clubs after a standout season in the Bundesliga, where he notched 10 goals and 8 assists in 31 games.

Simons’ ability to play in multiple midfield and forward roles makes him an ideal fit for Slot’s system. Liverpool, already home to a strong Dutch core with Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, and Ryan Gravenberch, are reportedly keen to add another Dutch talent to their roster.

Christoph Freund, Bayern Munich’s Sporting Director, has described Simons as an “exceptional player,” further highlighting the midfielder’s growing reputation. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s attacking options could also be boosted by their interest in West Ham’s Mohamed Kudus.
