Manchester United could be preparing for one more defensive move before the transfer window closes, and Chelsea have reportedly put a familiar Premier League name on the table. 👀💥
According to reports, Tosin Adarabioyo has been offered directly to Manchester United as Michael Carrick considers his options for strengthening the centre-back position. The 28-year-old is reportedly viewed as a potential squad player, with United also discussing other defensive targets.
And this is where things get VERY interesting… 👀🔥
United’s defensive situation has become a talking point after a difficult start to the campaign. With Matthijs de Ligt unavailable and Lisandro Martínez still working his way back to full fitness, Carrick could use another experienced option at the heart of his defence.
Tosin certainly brings Premier League experience. The towering centre-back made his name at Fulham before joining Chelsea on a free transfer in 2024, adding physical strength, aerial ability and composure on the ball to his game. Chelsea themselves previously highlighted his robustness and passing range as important qualities.
But there’s a twist. 😳
Tosin’s future at Stamford Bridge has reportedly become uncertain following changes to Chelsea’s squad, with the defender now attracting interest from several clubs. Aston Villa have also been linked with a move, meaning United could face competition if they decide to make their interest concrete.
For Carrick, the attraction could be obvious. 💪🔴
A 6ft-plus, Premier League-proven centre-back who already understands the demands of English football could provide valuable depth during a season in which United will have the Premier League, Champions League and domestic competitions to navigate.
And United aren’t looking at Tosin alone. 👀
Taylor Harwood-Bellis has also been discussed internally, while Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong has reportedly been monitored by United, although Chelsea consider him unavailable for sale.
So the question is no longer whether United need defensive depth… it’s WHO will Carrick choose? 🔥
Tosin at Old Trafford would certainly make headlines, especially considering his Manchester roots after coming through Manchester City’s academy. A move across the city would add another spicy chapter to his career. 😮💨🔴
With the transfer deadline approaching, United fans could be in for another twist.
Would you take Tosin Adarabioyo at Manchester United? YES or NO? 👇🔥
