Bruno Fernandes has added another major individual honour to his collection after being named Sofascore’s Premier League Player of the Season! 🥇🏆
The Manchester United captain has officially been recognised for an extraordinary 2025/26 campaign, one in which his creativity, leadership and consistency turned him into one of the most influential players in the entire league. 🔥🇵🇹
And the numbers behind the award are absolutely ridiculous! 🤯📊
Fernandes finished the Premier League campaign with an impressive 7.61 Sofascore Rating, while starting all 35 league appearances. He scored 9 goals and produced a stunning 21 assists, finishing as the league’s leading provider. 🎯🔥
But Bruno wasn’t simply passing the ball around and collecting assists. The Portuguese playmaker created a staggering 33 big chances, demonstrating just how frequently he put his teammates into dangerous scoring positions. He was also selected in Sofascore’s Team of the Week seven times during the campaign. 👀👏
👑 THE ASSIST KING OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE
There was a moment earlier in the season when Fernandes matched the Premier League’s single-season assist record with his 20th assist, joining the likes of Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne at the top of that historic chart. 📚🔥
He eventually moved beyond that mark to finish the campaign with 21 assists, putting his name firmly into Premier League history. 🎯👑
For Manchester United, his influence went far beyond statistics. Bruno remained the creative heartbeat of the side, constantly demanding the ball, attempting difficult passes, creating opportunities and taking responsibility when the pressure was at its highest. 🔴⚡
🤯 AND THEN CAME THE IPSWICH MASTERCLASS!
As if winning the award wasn’t enough, Fernandes has already shown that he has absolutely no intention of slowing down.
In United’s recent 5-2 victory over Ipswich Town, the captain produced another outrageous performance, scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist. 🎩⚽⚽⚽🎯
It was a performance that earned him a perfect 10 Sofascore Rating, with the Portuguese star once again demonstrating his ability to completely take over a match.
From midfield creator to goalscorer, leader and match-winner, Bruno continues to prove that he can influence games in virtually every way possible. 💥
❤️🔥 UNITED’S CAPTAIN IS ON FIRE!
The Sofascore award is based on performance data accumulated throughout the season, making this recognition particularly significant. Fernandes didn’t win it because of reputation or popularity. His performances and numbers did the talking. 📈🏆
