Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has once again found himself at the centre of the Premier League’s individual-award conversation! 🤩🔴 The Portuguese playmaker has been nominated for the August Player of the Month award, following a blistering start to the 2026/27 campaign.
Bruno wasted absolutely no time reminding everyone why he remains one of the most influential players at Old Trafford. 🥶🔥 After United’s difficult opening result against Hull City, the captain responded in spectacular fashion against Ipswich Town.
At Old Trafford, Fernandes produced a performance that had fans on their feet, scoring a sensational hat-trick as United fought back from behind to claim a thrilling 5–2 victory. ⚽⚽⚽💥 He also provided the assist for Bryan Mbeumo’s goal, putting the finishing touch on one of the most eye-catching individual displays of the young season.
And this wasn’t just another good game from Bruno. It was another statement.
The 31-year-old midfielder has continued to establish himself as the heartbeat of Manchester United, combining goals, creativity, leadership and relentless work rate. His importance to the team was already clear last season, when he was named Premier League Player of the Season after recording eight goals and 20 assists, matching the league record for assists in a campaign.
Now, he has another piece of individual silverware in his sights. 🏆👀
Fernandes’ nomination comes after his explosive August showing, and United supporters will be hoping the captain can add another monthly honour to his growing collection. He has already won the Premier League Player of the Month award multiple times, including in March 2026.
The timing could hardly be more interesting. Manchester United are looking to build momentum under Michael Carrick, and Bruno’s form could prove absolutely crucial as the Red Devils attempt to turn their promising attacking displays into a consistent challenge at the top end of the Premier League. 🔴🔥
One thing is becoming increasingly difficult to argue: when Bruno Fernandes is firing, Manchester United look like a completely different animal. 🐐⚡
Captain. Leader. Creator. Goalscorer. Award contender. 👑🇵🇹
Bruno Fernandes is cooking again… and Premier League defenders have been warned! 😮💨🔥❤️
