Barcelona’s attack just got another serious weapon, and if Hansi Flick decides to unleash his strongest combination, defenders across Europe could be in for a very long season. 😮💨🔥
The Catalan giants have officially completed the signing of Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal, with the Brazilian committing his future to Barça until June 2029. The 29-year-old arrives wearing the iconic No. 9 shirt and brings something different to Flick’s attack: explosive movement, pressing intensity, link-up play and the ability to attack spaces behind defensive lines. 🇧🇷⚡
And now the big question is… what could Barcelona’s strongest XI look like? 👀
🧤 Joan García
🛡️ João Cancelo
Jules Koundé
Pau Cubarsí
Alejandro Balde
⚙️ Rodri
Pedri
🔥 Lamine Yamal
Dani Olmo
Raphinha
🎯 Gabriel Jesus
Just LOOK at that attack! 😳🔥
Lamine Yamal on the right gives Barcelona outrageous creativity and unpredictability. The teenager can isolate defenders, cut inside, create chances and turn seemingly harmless situations into goal-scoring opportunities. 🇪🇸✨
On the opposite side, Raphinha brings intensity, direct running and end product. The Brazilian has already shown that he can be devastating when given freedom to attack from wide areas. 💥🇧🇷
Then there is Dani Olmo operating between the lines. His movement could create absolute chaos for opposing midfielders and centre-backs, especially when Jesus starts dragging defenders away from their positions. 🧠🎯
And that is where Gabriel Jesus becomes particularly interesting.
Jesus is not the classic striker who simply waits inside the penalty area for crosses. Barcelona themselves describe him as a mobile centre-forward who works spaces extremely well and likes getting behind defenders. That profile could be tailor-made for Flick’s aggressive football. 🚀🔵🔴
His history also shows that he knows how to contribute at the highest level.
At Manchester City, Jesus scored 95 goals and provided 45 assists in 236 appearances, winning four Premier League titles along the way. At Arsenal, he added 32 goals and 22 assists in 123 appearances.
Now he gets a completely different challenge in Barcelona. 👀
Flick reportedly sees Jesus as a strong fit for his high-pressing approach, with the German coach praising the Brazilian’s style and believing he can help the team significantly.
And Barcelona are already flying.
The Blaugrana demolished Valencia 5-0 at Mestalla, continuing their explosive start to the campaign and taking their league goal tally to 17 after four matches. 😱🔥
Now imagine adding a fully fit and confident Gabriel Jesus into that attacking machine. 🤯
Pedri controls the tempo.
Rodri provides security.
Olmo finds the pockets.
Raphinha attacks defenders.
Yamal creates magic.
And Jesus constantly moves, presses and attacks the space.
That is a nightmare combination. 😭🔥
The biggest question is whether Jesus immediately becomes an undisputed starter or has to fight his way into Flick’s preferred XI. Barcelona already possess several dangerous attacking options, meaning competition for places could be brutal.
But one thing is certain: Barcelona did not sign Gabriel Jesus simply to sit quietly on the bench.
The Brazilian has arrived in Catalonia with something to prove after a difficult period at Arsenal, and he has already described the move as a dream come true. ❤️💙
A rejuvenated Gabriel Jesus playing alongside Yamal, Raphinha, Olmo, Pedri and Rodri?
European defenders might want to start praying now. 😂🙏🔥
Barcelona’s attack could be ABSOLUTELY SCARY this season! 😱🔵🔴
